I was in a long-term relationship that ended mutually. We both want to remain friends because we developed a strong friendship during our g/f b/f relationship. We mostly stay in touch over the phone and sometimes email. My ex is currently engaged and I'm currenlty in a relationship myself, so we're both busy people. As friends, we also try to meet in person for important events (birthdays, graduation, etc.) or just to talk over coffee. It is my hope that my current g/f would want to become, at the least, associates with my ex and her fiance. Unfortunately, my current girlfriend is giving me the ultimatum, cut all ties with my ex or breakup. Please vote for ONLY one answer:

A) Cut all ties
B) Break up and remain friends with ex

A
Who is more important to you?
If your ex thought you more important, she wouldn't be engaged to someone else.
Your new girlfriend deserves more respect than you wallowing over your old girlfriend.
You need to make a choice.
I agree with your new girlfriend.

Sorry I pick A) cut all ties. If your serious about your current g/f then it shouldn't be a problem. If your not serious then hey break it off with her but its likely the next g/f will feel the same way about you hanging out with your ex.

B. break up and remain friends with ex. If your current girl friend is that jealous it can be a sign of trouble ahead anyway which ever way you go.

A. Your current girlfriend is insecure because you are seeking emotional support from another woman. For your relationship to work, you need to lean on your girlfriend for support, not your ex. I know it sounds hard, but you'll have to choose.
