She is a fascist like most people in Washington including Bush and her husband.

Hillary voted for the war and the Patriot Act because, at the time, it was the politically astute thing to do.
Now that the political currents have shifted to the other direction, she claimed to be against the war and the Patriot Act.
And I guarantee if the currents shift again before the elections, she'll support the war and the Patriot Act again.

Because it was politically expedient. I would be willing to bet that she opposed it, but did not want to say so at the time, given the political climate of the day. Now, she has herself painted into a corner on this issue. She refuses to say that she was wrong, because that would be a sign of weakness.
I personally believe that she should apologize to the people of America for her actions. The War in Iraq and the so-called "Patriot Act" are two of the worst things our nation has ever done.

I have heard that the Patriot act was drawn up after the Oklahoma city bombing and just implemented after 9/11 and Hillary was in with Bill during the Oklahoma deal. She wanted the war I guess on the first part.

Because she is part of the same nutcase party of Bush and other Neo-Cons. It's a one party system now. We don't have a democratic system. It's looking more and more like a corporate communist state everyday. Just look at the voting record and the legislation record of her husband. he didn't do anything that is considered liberal while in office. He proposed and passed everything the neo-cons and the corporate special interests wanted. He moved the Democratic party to the right of center. And, he got the Democratic party more in bed financially with the large corporations. (no pun intended). Anyone who thinks the Clintons are liberal really needs to do their research.

At the time, that's the way the political winds were blowing - notice how quickly she reversed direction when she started campaigning? The woman doesn't have a decisive bone in her body - you don't even have to listen to her to know what her position on any particular concern is, just check the poles and she'll be agreeing with all of the big numbers - unless they change, in which case, so will she.

I am not sure but because she did, I won't vote for her. She also voted YEA for the immigration and amnesty reform package that the Senate did not approve last Thursday. These three measures are hurting American citizens every day, so what else should I believe she would help if she became our next president? NOTHING!!!

she voted for the war because of the 'facts' she was presented with- you know those WMDs no one can find
(she now regrets this)
like most senators, she just voted 'yes' in a show of unity without reading the bill. most agree that they were willing to sign and go along with just about everything after 9/11

Good God, I can't believe some of the responses DEFENDING her. She knew what she voted on and when it was revised, she knew AGAIN!
Get real, people. She's no different than any of the others and has great 'plans' for this country.
