If a terrorist's goal is to kill as many people as possible, wouldn't he be happy if he stops people from being cured of cancer?

ummm first, wolfe----I am dem and am not so much worried that the government will wire tap terrorists, but am more concerned about them wire tapping myself, without probable cause, and without search warrant, in clear violation of the supreme law of our nation, the 4th amendment to Constitution of the United States....you as an American citizen must demand that our leaders follow and uphold the Constitution, anything short of that I consider treason. So if you want to give up your constitutional rights so be it, but you are treasonous if you do.

Second, to answer the question, if the person killed was a Dr with a miracle cure, them I think that would be a more "valuable target" for a terrorist...but who am I to presume what they are thinking?!

Terrorists are religious fanatics, they could care less about science or a cure for cancer.

Remember these people believe they are on some mission from their god so the short answer is no.

They would probably respond that if god wanted to cure cancer, he would make sure the person was not harmed by the attack.

Since he realizes that the cure will be produced and consumed in a country that has no intention of sharing it with him, I doubt he gives it much thought.

Probably make a better target. He'd go for it. Terrorists care about their political agenda Period.

well... I mean... THEY WOULD ASK YOU... "when Israel bombs a Palestinian apartment building... do they think about that?... when the U.S. drops a smart bomb on a terrorist hideout in a suburban neighborhood that kills kids in the house next door... do they think about that?"

and they probably don't... both sides probably say that in "war" you can't afford to think like that...

now... is that rationalization... probably...

Would that make the scientist more valuable than any other human?

The terrorist would enjoy killing the scientist even more.

And yet, Democrats are mad that Terrorists might get wire-tapped because of the Patriotic Act.
