She probably won't like a lot of the food...In France breakfast is very light and lunch is the biggest meal of the day. They don't have brightly coloured cakes and such, and their baked goods are bought fresh, so she won't like much of that either. French bread from the store is nothing like a real baguette. She'll be used to a very athletic lifestyle. And she'll be a fan of Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. Take her to a TK Maxx or Marshall's so she can be awed by how cheap everything is.

If she only speaks french...you should learn a little!
Bonjour! Means Hi!
Comment Cava? Means how are you.
If she answers by saying "pas terrible" that means bad
if she says tres bein... thats good!
When in doubt, use a translator!

Well, when I was a teen, we had a foreign exchange student from France live with an uncle for awhile. If I talked to him for very long I soon found I was talking with an accent similar to his own...don't ask me why?

Yes: French women can eat absolutely anything high in fat on a regular basis and not gain any weight. It's in their genes. So beware, and don't try this yourself. For American women, it shoots right for the hips. ;-)
