Have you told him about this. Tell him how you feel, and he might change, if not screw him.

I would be totally offended by my boyfriends behavior if I was you. I would voice my opinion to him about it. Giving him the benefit of the doubt,,,maybe he doesn't know he's doing this. Talk to him first before dumping him and if he continues on this way THEN dump him. And you're right, the way you describe your situation, he does sound very selfish and thoughtless. There are boyfriends out there who ARE on a tight budget and still try to buy their girlfriends a little something, even if it means having to cut corners on their end.

If he's actually being selfish and inconsiderate of you, then dump him. Just make sure your expectations aren't too high. Does he get you presents on your birthday and Christmas? And, other than being a bit selfish, is he a good boyfriend? Don't be too hasty and regret your decision. Weigh all the factors carefully. Good luck.

Yes.

Where a man's treasure is, there shall his heart be also (Biblical paraphrase).

In other words, the thing (or person) he dedicates his money to is the thing or person he loves most. He's selfish, and you don't need a selfish guy.

If it's HIS money he has the right to spend it as HE wants to. You don't own him, you're not married to him, why do you think he should buy you anything? If you want things get out, get a job and earn the money for them yourself, stop expecting someone else to buy them for you.

You shouldn't base a relationship on material possessions. But if his attitude toward you, and his selfishness make you unhappy, you should end the relationship right away.

Why can't you buy your own stuff?
It's his money and he can spend it anyway he wants. And unless he marries you, puts you on his credit cards, it's really nothing for you to complain about.
