Mine is annoying the hell out of me!!

No matter how annoying he is, he's still our father.
Is your father working very hard by keeping long hours away from home? If he is, he may be tired at the end of day so any request of yours may not be received perspectively but taken as an additional burden. Thus he may react differently from your friend's father and you may not get what you are expecting.
However, if your annoying means he keeps pestering you to communicate with him more, then he is being concern and may be too protective at times. Well, they always wants what is best for you from their perspective which is sometimes unreasonable from our point of view.
So try to put ourself in their shoes and be more concern in his welfare. Whether we like it or not, he's providing shelter and food for us daily no matter how small the amount.

you should appreciate the moments you have with you parents. i have a friend that her father died when she was in 5th grade on the fourth of july due to fireworks. cherish these moments. youll have a lot to remember him by later. he probably just wants to show you that he still loves you and will always love you. i love my mom and my dad so much. they can be annoying especially when i was younger like you probably are, but they just want to make you laugh and be happy. my parents still do that to to me and my sisters, so be happy and smile.

some days he is. my father is a drunk. so he is very abusing mentally and physical. he calls my mom names, im glad ther divorced. she much happier. to bad i have to go see him by law.

my father is not really that annoying but sometime he gets me mad, but then i get over it...

Jesus what a bunch of sour pusses? I loved my Dad but he sometimes annoyed me. We had his funeral yesterday.
