my mom is over the road a lot an has a lot to do but she is in charge of my ssi check and can't afford 25 dollars {fed-x} to send me fifty. also she can't always find a place to mail them.
what are we to do.

become your own payee if possible. I did. It's a lot of responsibility, but I do it. I also have my own checking acct. lots of responsibility but it really helps me to feel I am better than before.

The person you are staying with should get it for you if your under 18. My step-niece receives SSI and she is 7. Her biological Grandmother thought she could give custody to her step-grandmother. Of course to keep the money for herself.
She had to repay all those months she got it and not have the child in here custody.That money is for the child not the parents.

YOU CAN GET A COURT ORDER TO HAVE YOUR MONEY PUT INTO YOUR OWN BANK ACCOUNT. Why don't you have a checking account and have the money put there by direct deposit?? It's done all the time.
