Torrents are actually pointers to files (like shortcuts are to your programs on your desktop). They are tracked by Torrent trackers. And can be downloaded by BitTorrent clients, which will then contact the tracker to get the actual files.
Warez is a generic term for pirated software (and games).
Can't tell you the websites for them, since 99% of the stuff you get on them are illegal.
I'll just refer you to bittorrent.com, the original BitTorrent website, and founder of the Bittorrent standard.

torrents are not illegal, what used with them often times is illegal.
Warez is just something that is copyrighted but is being distrubted illegally, so warez are illegal.
Torrents have various uses, especially for downloading large files and not having all of the bandwith being done with one computer. There are lots of legal uses for them.
as for places to use them? well I use Opera which lets me download torrents through the browser. There are lots of torrent downloading programs out there, do a search.
As for warez... they are illegal and are often times infected with tons of viruses & etc. I would suggest you stay away from them at all costs. I wouldn't suggest you use torrents unless it is done in a legal manner.
Also, always search yahoo, yahoo answers & google before you ask question, you can usually easily find answers, especially if it is for broad topics like this.
neither is better then the other. You could use a torrent to access warez. One is not better then the other because they are not comparable.
then most clients will allow you to pause bittorrent downloads.

Torrents are files that are spread out among many computers like in a vast network. I use torrents and highly recommend them ! As for wares i have never heard of them.
