Try http://www.entrepreneur.com They keep a list of a few hundred franchises from real cheap to real expensive. You should be able to find something up your alley for four grand.

Good luck. I hope you make missions!

I don't believe there are any franchises that cheap. But, you could start a service company out of your home with that amount.

If I were you I would apply for a mortgage and buy a 2 family house. The amount you charge for rent greatly exceeds the amount you pay for your mortgage. With the real estate market in the shape it's in, it wouldn't be too hard to find one.

Loans aren't that hard to get when you have money to start with.

Lets talk and get you out to a few seminars so you see what you like to do BEFORE you invest in something that sounds good but you can't stand.

Vegas may be the better odds. The death of most startup companies is undercapitalization and $4000 is in that category.

I agree with both the stock market comment and the vegas comment.

Otherwise, a lemonade stand or a small ebay business might work for you.

the stock market is due for 1 or 2 corrections in the near future. Invest in it when it happens and watch your money grow.
