Its obvious the President of the Senate is running Bush. I wonder if he will ever regret having Cheney as the VP?
Probably not; I don't think he is intelligent enough to realize this.

In Texas, the power of the governor is less than it is in many other states.

Political power is shared over a wide base of elected officials including the Lieutenant Governor.

This is an established pattern, but Bush didn't have to challenge the Senate or the House because there was a Republican majority in both. Cheney is a seasoned politician who has been wielding power from behind closed doors like no other vice-president ever has.

Dick Cheney has been the de facto president from day one.

Even Lee Iacocca has publicly stated this.

This is the Cheney/Bush Administration and future history books will bear this out.

Considering Cheney's education and past political experience as Senator and Secretary of Defense, I'd say it speaks well for Bush to have him as VP.

Nonsense, Cheney is far more conservative than Bush. If Cheney were running the show things would be far better.

No, that's silly.
But Cheney would make a great president.

The Clinons' wish that they would have had an intelligent VP, instead of freaky Gore.
