If you had to give out only one of these numbers to someone you don't know much and are speaking to for the first time - which one would you choose?

Cell number.

You can easily change it if anything happens. Plus, giving out your home number is pretty much like letting them know where you live.

Why do you have to give YOUR number out in the first place? If he wants to talk, let him give you his number and you call him from a blocked number. If you feel comfortable with this person after the first or several calls, then give out yours.

home phone. I get a flat rate, so it wouldn't cost me to accept a call. Plus, if it turns out to be someone who stalks or harasses, the feds will get involved. I don't think your cell phone carrier would do anything.
