i will be in NYC in August - and want to visit Ground Zero - but i want to see how far ground zero is from our hotel ...
does ground zero have an address?
how far would it be from manhattan? we are staying at the Beekman Hotel.

it's 1 WTC (World Trade Center). The Beekman is on 50th and 1st Avenue, which is also in Manhattan. It's a 10 to 12 dollar cab ride. Or take the 49th cross town bus to the 8th avenue stop (cross town to the West side). Then take the E train down town (NOT towards Queens!) and get off at the last stop (WTC). It is right there.

It is on Manhattan, which is an Island, near the south end.
