do you think that maybe harry is related to voldemort?
they both have green eyes and harry has his mother's eyes (and this is somehow going to be important in the last book)-- so I'm thinking maybe voldemort is harry's grandfather

what do you think?

They could be.
Harry's father is a Pure-Blood, and Voldemort's mother is Pure-Blood, and all Pure-Bloods are related....so somehow, they could be related.
Harry and Voldemort are so similar because Harry is a Horcrux....or at least I think so.
In COS, young Voldemort that came from the diary mentioned that they look alike.
Both Voldemort and Harry have the same feather in their wands.
Also, in Ootp, Harry has the dreams that he is Voldemort. He also has the dream that he in the eyes of a snake. Voldemort's snake.
Why?
Because there is a good possibilty (Even Dumbledore thinks so) that Voldemort's snake could be a Horcrux.
The Snake could have been made into a Horcrux in the old mans death in the begining of GOF.
Voldemort, Harry, and Nargini(sp?) have their minds kind of connected.
I strongly, truely believe that Harry is a Horcrux....but he won't die. How? Dementors. :]

Hope it made sense! (Im kinda writting this while listening to MuggleCast #95)

Edit::::: Horcrux or not, Voldemort is DEFINTLY not Harry's grandfather. Harry saw his grandfather from his fathers side in the mirror of erisd(sp?) in SS. He was the one with the knobby knees. And Harry's mom is Muggle-Born, so Harry's grandfather on his mother side is a muggle. :]

It's a really interesting theory, and it just might work, knowing J. K. Rowling and the books before this one. But I think this is NOT going t o happen, and here are my reasons:
1. Harry has green eyes, just like his mother Lilly; on the other hand, Voldemort has red eyes.
2. Even if we imagine that Voldemort had green eyes before he turned into a dark wizard, he can still not be related to Harry. Lilly was a muggleborn, so Voldemort can not be her father. We know that her parents were muggles: when Petunia describes the day when Lilly got the letter, she sais they were all surprised and their parents were sooo excited...
3. If you think Voldemort could be James' father, then think again. Sirious once said that he went to the house of the Potter's and that James' parents accepted him as their own child... Does that sound like Voldemort? No. And if some of you think that might be Voldemort, here's why not: at that time, Voldemort was already the Dark Lord; we know that Serious' parents totally agried with him and that his brother was one of the Death eaters. That was the reason he moved to the Potter's at the first place - his family was full of dark wizards.

These are my reasons. If you have anything to ask me, go on. ;)

I just have to say a few more things:
1. Some of you said that Voldemort whould never kill his own son or daughter...
Why do you think Voldemort could not kill his daughter / son? He's killed so many people before, even his own father, hasn't he?
2. Someone said that Harry is a Horocrux.
Harry can NOT be a Horocrux. The prophecy said: "…and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives…". If Harry were a Horocrux, that would mean that Voldemort CAN NOT die while Harry lives. Also, if Harry would sacrifice himself to kill Voldemort, they would BOTH die, which is, again, agains the prophecy. And we already know that the prophecy is true: "…and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal..." Voldemort marked Harry when he tried to kill him and left him a scar...
As for the connection between Harry and Voldemort, Dumbledore explained it. It happens because of Harry's scar - a mark Voldemort left on him, when his Avada Kedavra curse failed. Harry's mother died to save Harry, so Harry survived. Now Voldemort and Harry are connected with some strange bond and they can read each other's minds etc. And Harry was able to see through the eyes of Nagini because Volemort was in her body at the moment.
3. Someone said that Dumbledore has made a Horocrux.
Do you really think he would murder someone just for his own sakes...? I don't think so!!

That's all from me...

Have fun reading the last book!!! And let's all find out what's that with Harry's eyes that's sooo important!!!

First, Voldemort has red eyes now, and when he was Tom Riddle he had blue eyes. He never had green eyes.

Second, I do not think that they are related. Their many similarities were probably either things Harry's parents also had in common with them or transferred from Voldemort to Harry during the attack when Harry was a baby.

I don't think that Harry is related to Voldemort because one of the books in the series explains Voldemort's family and the Potter family is not mentioned in the family. Also Harry Potter isn't related to the Salazar Slytherin family.

I've often thought there was more to the Harry/Voldemorte relationship than meets the eye. I think the 7th book will solve a lot of riddles (no pun intended). I also think it will make us look back over the other books with a different perspective.

Voldemort's eyes weren't green until he used Harry's blood to restore his body. He got his eyes from Harry.

Book 7 Teaser:

Dumbledore made a Horcrux. That's why he had a "Look of triumph" when he learned Voldemort had restored his body in GOF, he knew he would be able to do the same.

yah, Harry is related to Voldemort somehow. I remember reading in a magazine that JK Rowling said that the fact that Harry had his mother's eyes was going to be an important detail for the 7th book. It probably has something to do with Voldemort. It'd be funny if Harry was related to Malfoy.... because I BET that Malfoy is related to Voldemort somehow as well.

no, they're not related- no way. there was a reason j.k. rowling went into so much detail in the 6th book about voldemort's past, and we know that sirius knew harry's grandparents [5th book, he stayed with james when he left home]. we also know a lot about lily's family, and voldemort definetely didn't have children. i don't think that they're related by blood, but there's definetely a connection made by the curse/harry's scar/reading voldemort's mind thing.

You gotta trust the author, JK. She said, by her characters in the book as well, that Harry looks like his father except his mother's eyes. The line of Salazar Slytherin ended with Voldemort
