When I put it in, it only appears in Print Layout view- it disappears in Normal view but even in normal view it erases as I scroll down and it hits the top of the header. I tried to save it and add it without pasting- by "Inserting" it but when I try to insert word says, "Convert File" then it says it cant do it. What file type should I save it as- any help is appreciated.

Word recognises the following formats:

Windows enhanced metafile - .emf
Windows Metafile - .wmf
JPEG File Interchange Format - .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif
Portable Networks Graphics - .png
Windows bitmap - .bmp, .dib, .rle, .bmz
Graphics Inferchange Format - .gif, .gfa
Compressed Windows Enhanced Metafile - .emz
Compressed Macintosh PICT - .pcz
Tag Image File Format - .tif, ,tiff
CorelDraw - .cdr
Computer Graphics Metafile - .cgm
Encapsulated Postscript - .eps
Macintosh PICT - .pct, .pict
WordPerfect Graphics - .wpg

The safest would be .jpg, .gif or .png. .bmp will work but the file sizes are very large.

Hope this helps

I'm not sure as to to the specific type of graphic you are trying to put into your Word doc. ideally you would save the graphic as a jpg file (or other basic type) by right clicking and selecting "save target as..." and then insert into your document.

I've found an easy way to pull a graphic from a site that's causing you trouble is to size your browser so that just the graphic is showing and then press ALT+PrtSc. This will allow you to create an image of your browser window. You can then paste this into Word and crop out the edges of the browser.

If this is not what you're looking for, give us some more specific details.
