When an embryo develops, males and females all start out the same. The gonads will stay where they are to form ovaries in a baby girl, or head south to form testicles in a boy. If you were destined to be a girl the nipples would have been a vital functioning organ. So it is like they were there just in case. Though I think I would look silly without my nipples. My baby once tried to see if they worked, luckily I stopped her otherwise I would have been on the ceiling!

If you believe in evolution. I'm sure there was a time when both genders nursed their young. The men probably acted as a supplement if the women were injured or killed by wild animals. Men's nipples are sensitive too...maybe just for pleasure.

Because all fetuses develop the same for the first few months so when the male hormone testosterone kicks in, the nipples have already deveopled.

Biologically, when men are around nursing infants or infants in trouble, we also produce the hormone that women produce to lactate. We don't lactate, but we still have the hormone. I think this information is somehow related to your question.

because when humans are born there genes are originally female and at the last stages of pregnancy do male genes begin to produce , so havin some female likenesses
