I believe in God.

It's some of His followers I have a problem with. (By the way, I'm using "He" for the sake of convenience, since the use of "It" is considered insulting in our language.)

Why do I believe? Because I was born into one of those "interesting" lives that had the potential to be far more damaging than it has turned out to be. I have always felt the presence of some protective entity, and at times of greatest danger, have had wonderful people happen along to help. I sometimes wonder if the help I've received has actually come from within myself. But if it did, that could confirm a belief in the "God within."

On the other hand, I do not believe in the version of God taught by many religions and their leaders, who seem more interested in having power over their followers than in aiding their spiritual growth. (You know, the ones who tell us, "God doesn't want us to do that," when they're actually trying to inflict their own prejudices and opinions on public policy.)

I was searching all my life for something and made many wrong choices. It was not until I accepted God into my life and believed that He died for my sine that I knew Something was different in my life. Without God in my life I know sure as I am sitting here I would be dead in both senses of the word. You ask do I believe in God my answer is yes for all I need do is look around me to know that there is a God.

Of course I do. He may be called different things but in the end there is only one supreme being and that is God. Look around you. See the sunset, trees in bloom, landscapes of beauty, a new born baby. a baby is not a posession, it's a gift that God gives to us to change our lives forever. It helps us learn to love, teach and watch them grow into the wonderful person that we help mold. But we have to remember that this baby is only on loan and some day we have to let them go to do or be as God had planned from the begining. We watch them get married and move away and if God grants us more gifts, we are given grand children to watch grow and learn and to love.
If you just look around you, how could you not believe in God? Try praying unselfishly and thank God for all that He has given you and ask for his guidence in what you want in life. Sometimes you have to look really hard to find the answer to what ever you have asked Him for, but the answer is there, you just have to open your eyes as well as your heart.

Yes because it is obvious.

It doesnt matter if you believe or not, it doesnt change anything. Just because you do not believe in something does not mean it is not real.

If you do not believe in God, you had better be right. On the other hand, if you believe in God and die and there is none, nothing lost is there?

No F'ng way, grow up people. God is not helping you through hard tmes, its yourself, you make yourselves feel so helpless and try to rely on god. It is the willpower within yourself helping you through. Remember, the bible and the stories within it have been scientifically, mathematically, and basically just logically proven to be false. Religion in my mind was invented, written by men, in order to help people cope with troubles in their lives, and to welcome death instead of fearing it. If you dont follow every single step the bible says, why bother? If you dont abide by the rules 100% and im sure none of you do, your wasting your time even if their is a heaven. Either way, look where religion has gotten us. 9/11, an eternity of warfare, babies, women, children dieing in the name of god. So come on people open your eyes, the story of Jesus and all that, relates to that of Santa clause in this way. "There is nobody there to tell you, By the way, we lied to you this whole time"

YES! Because, some people don't believe in God because they think that nothing out of the ordinary can exist. But if you think about it.... our whole earth, the universe, and ourselves are 'out of the ordinary" besides there are some things science CAN'T explain. Like for example.... 'the big bang theory" puh- leez stupidest, lamest, thing I have ever heard. anyways.... I do believe. And i feel sorry for who doesn't.

Yes, because could a collision of particles create us, with all our feelings and emotions? What about nature, all those trees, flowers, etc. ? I think not.
