if u think of it...we are trying to improve other countries' government systems...they just don't cooperate causing it all to completely backfire on us...
Iraq was in just as much chaos as it is now b4 America got there...but since America is there now it has a worse reputation.
We weren't bombing Afghanistan...we were attempting to bomb Al Qaeda whom Afghanistan was housing.
We were involved in Vietnam because we were in a cold war with Russia and we had to stop communism...because it increased Russia's influence on the world...same for Korea...
We were involved in the World Wars because WWI...Britain and France were in desperate need of our help
and WWII...same reason as above + we were bombed by Japan

We dropped the atom bomb because...we were killing thousands to save millions...and...we warned Japan and asked them to surrender and they spit in our face...so there goes Nagasaki...then we asked again and the same result...there goes Hiroshima...then they surrendered

To say that most of the world hates us would be false. There are many around the world who love our people and our culture.
The problem is in the way we are handling our foreign affairs and trying to dictate our policies and views on other cultures which have existed far longer than we have! America is still a baby in the scope of human history yet our attitude as the super power of the world is a bit rigid and arrogant. Who are we to tell them what to do? I think some places believe we should be more humble and grateful for the great wealth we have here, but instead we sort of flaunt it and waste it. I love America too. I hope that we get someone in office who can practice a bit more diplomacy with foreign leaders and repair some of the damage that has happened over the past several years.

No the world doesn't, as a matter of fact the US has contributed to positive things such as technology. What the World is against is the US government interfering in other Nations, Cultures, Countries.... many many inocent lives are lost this way. Every Country has good things and bad things... the USA is doing wrong in "trying to fix up" other Countries who have different cultures and different ways of thinking.

Canada is home of the 'free' too, free speech, capitolism, we are also American in a sense that we live in North America... that's the only reasons why i dislike the States is cos they dont' even consider us a real contry when we are infact a really good country.

Yes, dear, whatever.
I live in London in a tin hut with no running water or electricity, no food or money, i dress in rags and all these damn dictators just run amok. My dad was boiled alive and fed to vultures for saying that the Queen was a 'bit fat and posh'. I'm just so jealous of America. I really, really want a hand gun. Shooting up campuses looks like SO much fun.
Honestly, mate, shut up and go away.

its becasue you are overly patriotic, you think you do things the right way all the time and interferre with the happenings in other places that were just as happy if not more before you decided that they needed to be "helped"
You do do alot for the good of mankind but you guys have to sit back and be more neutral for a bit and mind your own bussiness, its not up to you to save the world.
And actually, you wouldnt even have a legue if it werent for us canadians cause considering our tiny poppulation, we have a grand presence in the NHL. W/o, you guys wouldnt have decent players: pee wee games would be more exiting. Like geez, why do you think either our men or women place in the olympics each olympics, whens the last time, you guys won hmmmmmmm.Actually, youre lucky we grace our presence in "your" legue. it makes alot of american owners alot richer and gives you something better than baseball to watch.

it's b/c of people like u they hate us so much. all we do is brag brag thinking we are the only democracy where there is freedom of speech and rel. Hell i can tell u right now there are countries that are much "free" than the U.S. in terms of laws and standard of living. IF we were a free nation, people like Imus wouldn't have gotten in trouble, where was freedom of speech there?

They hate us out of ignorance. They believe all the media hype (and unfortunately, the only US news that makes it overseas is the bad stuff--the war, etc.). Most people from other countries who hate us have probably never even laid eyes on (much less talked with or gotten to know) an American. They're basing their opinion of us on our president. That would be like me saying I hate all Muslims because they're terrorists. Obviously I don't believe this, and I know it's not true, but it's the same principal.
