Business casual means smart but not formal. There are generally two types: Class Business Casual and Lounge Business Casual.
Example modes for CBC are...
1. Button-up shirt (tucked in), tie (optional), dress pants and polished shoes ("church").
2. Standard suit (business colors blue/black), turtleneck/ T-shirt, polished shoes ("church")
Example modes for LBC are...
1. Button-up shirt (short/long sleeve; tuck-in optional), dress pants/khakis and loafers.
2. V-neck shirt (short/long sleeve; no tuck-in), dress pants/khakis and loafers.
As it is an interview and you want to make a good impression I advise you to go for Class Business Casual. When you get the job and are more familiar with the place you can divert to Lounge Business Casual (when appropriate, you'll know).

When in doubt, dress up, not down.
'Business casual' simply requires dress pants [ not denim or cargo, etc.], a long-sleeved dress shirt, a navy jacket, and dress shoes and belt - no tie, no suit.
Choose conservative colors for pants, belt, and shoes - khaki or gray slacks, with dark brown or black belt and shoes.
Shirt can be white, light to medium blue, light to medium green. [ avoid any other neutrals without a tie - beige, lt gray, tan all need more color. ]
Of course, neat, clean hair, nails, and teeth; wear deodorant but skip the cologne, carry a portfolio [ pref. leather ] and take notes.
Investigate the company, and prepare questions for the interviewer [ salary comes at end of conversation ]. Keep in portfolio to remind you.
Be sure you brush up on etiquette: shaking hands, intros, let interviewer speak first, etc. Don't tell any off-color jokes, even if they tell you one [ don't laugh if he does ].
Good Luck!
