Nope, it's not worth it. You HAVE to sign a contract with AT&T. It does NOT have a removable battery.

The iphone has two models. The 4 gigabyte model is 499.00 and the 8 gigabyte model is 599.00. The lowest plan for this phone is through Cingular (A T&T) which is 59.99 a month for 450 rollover minutes, unlimited internet and email usage, mobile to mobile calling and unlimited nights and weekends. There is a 35 dollars activation fee on your first bill and you have to sign a 2 year contract of service. If you terminate before your 2 year contract is over you will be required to pay $175.00 fee and the current month of phone service.

I suggest waiting for a better iphone. At the moment, the iphone uses Cingular (A T&T) internet network Edge (2G) which has the capability of only 300 kilobits per second which is slow. Verizon and Sprint uses 3G internet which is 700 kilobits per seconds about DSL speed on their cell phones. Until then the next iphone will have better internet speed and better processor.

Another concern is the iphone does not have a online music subscription to your phone like Verizon and Sprint where you can download the music straight to your phone. Basically on the iphone, you can only connect your computer to the iphone and transfer your music back and forth.
