I hate to give away my secret bait additive, but you seem like a trustworthy person...
Take a small spray can of wd-40 along & spray the bait just before you cast it in. Fish love it.

.fishing is my passion fish will eat pretty much anything.
i am a carp fisherman and I've seen carp eat anything from fish food to dog biscuits coated in whiskey.
