I agree with what mostly everyone else said. It is hard letting go because it's familiar....but try your best to just walk away. Allow the memories to play out in your mind...don't fight it because it's natural to think of someone...to miss someone you once cared about deeply. It's not easy...but, you'll only end up hurting more in the end. They'll end up leading you on if you continue to cling, and they won't even have the thought of getting back together in mind. Don't set yourself up for disappointment and more pain. You deserve so much more. So...miss them, but don't call them or contact them in anyway...be strong. Cry about it if you have to...but don't contact them. Sometimes love will allows us to lose our pride. Just view what you had with that person as an experience...but let go, and move on. You don't have to rush to find a "new one" so to speak. Take your time and heal. Go out, workout, be around friends, read a good book, take a walk...just stay busy. And when thoughts of that person enter your mind...let them come and go. Good luck. I understand where are you are, and believe me...you'll get through it. ;-)

Because you're attached and clingin to hope. .. because you can only remember the good times and not what's really happenning...because you still think there's a chance it will all work out...because you don't want to believe that it's over.

Not to mention I'd rather hold on to the rail than plumet to my death.
