is there a certain place were i can catch magmar in pokemon diamond?

i know i need leaf green in the ds while playing pokemon diamond but did i need to go some were to cath it

I caught mine just inside the entrance on stark mountain in pokemon diamond.

u dont catch magmar you catch magby in front of stark mountain
