I run into this often at the stadium.
Most of the time, the people there just don't realize they're in the wrong seat, and after I point out where their seats are, end of problem. (My seats are in an area of the sradium where the team also sells group tickets.)
It has benevr been an issue worth getting steamed up about.

If its right next to my husbands.
I was in London at Hethrow airport last summer, I was about 6 months pregnant and I was already huge. We had an 8 hour lay-over and there is one waiting area in the middle of the restaurant/store lobby with comfortable chairs.
Needless to say, no one got up and let me sit down, and when someone left and I finally got a chance to sit down, I had to get up to use the bathroom, and naturally when I returned the seat was taken again.
