first of all, you are full of crap. your dad did not say it was fine for you to have plastic surgery now. maybe RECONSTRUCTIVE surgery, but not plastic. most doctors will not work on underage patients unless they have been burnt in fires or HORRIBLY disfigured. the way you worded it though it was a little bent. unless it causes you pain or has stunted your growth, you need to wait until your body stops growing so "repairs" can be done.

I thinks that if you and your family think that it is okay to have the surgery than it is fine to have it. It's not like your having plastic surgery on your breasts or anything like that. Your having it on your leg, that was damaged in a car accident. Ask them if they wouldn't be self-conscious about having an abnormal looking leg. If your not comfortable with the looks of your leg, than I say go ahead and have the surgery. If you were changing the way you looked (if you weren't in an accident) than your friends and you should care about you having plastic surgery. But, you're having your surgery to feel better about yourself. I say go have it and good luck with your friends.

You already have the answer. Your Dad is responsible for you, and he says it's OK. Will your friends stop talking to you if you undergo surgery? I don't think so, and they won't be paying for the surgery either.
It's your own choice, though. If the leg looks almost perfect and the surgery is risky, I wouldn't have it, though.
And oh yes, it's reconstructive surgery, not plastic surgery. If you wanted a breast or nose job out of vanity, it's plastic surgery, and yes, 13 is too young to have it.

I heard that plastic surgery is best when done later in life. Past the age of 21.

You don't need to convince them. They should accept you and your decision. Now if it was getting obsesive and close to a disorder than yes I would see a problem. As long as you aren't getting like your nose redone for like the 5th time it's cool. And see their idea of you not needing plastic surgery as a good thing. They think you look great how you are. But if it will make you feel better, than go for it.

Tell them that if they care about you and that if they want you to be happy to let you have that surgery. Because that surgery will make you happy. But talk to them in a nice way and try to explain how you feel. Also take in consideration their point of view and dont get frustrated.

i think ur dad always knows whats best for u n would never let u do somthing as serious as plastic surgery unless he felt that u apsolutely had to have it done, n i think if ur dads cool with it then ur friends should be too, i mean this surgery could boost ur self-confidence n make u feel so much better about urself, i say go for it if ur dad supports ur decision ur friends should too.

If you have your parents support, and you really feel you need this, that is up to you. Have you thought about why you want this so bad - is it to impress the guys? Is there something else going on inside that you need to sort out? Either way, I wish you all the best. Good luck and take care of you...

i say just get it done. you're friends probably have good reason for saying your too young, but if you've already had plastic surgery before, and you just want to get your leg better then do it.
