Relative means that something must be defined in terms of its relationship to something else, like "velocity is relative to the observer".

Relevant just means something is important for particular purpose, like "math is relevant to physics".

Relative means with respect to. For example, if you are going in one direction with a velocity of 100 km/h and another person is coming in an opposite direction at a velocity of 100 km/h, the relative velocity of that person with respect to you is 200 km/h.

Relevant is pertaining to a particular topic. Your question may be more relevant in word meanings than in physics.

I assume you mean relevant...relative means 'compared to something else'...relevant means 'meaningful'.
ex. what is the relative strength of this glue?
ex. is that report relevant to our project?
