I feel like somthing might be wrong with my 2001 Toyota Rav4. When i take off it sometimes drags and has a little trouble picking up speed. Also, when I start my car it wants to hesitate and when it finally starts it idles for a split second and then levels out. What could this be? I have 193,000 miles on it and I have thought about trading it in. They say Toyotas last forever, but I travel a lot. do you think it is time to trade it in? Thanks....I'm open to anyones suggestions. thanks

I have to disagree with slim above me. Nothing lasts forever, but with that being said, I would say if you do a lot of traveling, then it might not be a bad idea to go ahead and trade. At 200K miles, more and more things will start to fail. Your best bet may be to get a car that is less than a year old and with 10K or less miles on it. That way you will save over the new car price, and you'll be putting a lot of miles on it, so it's not like you are going to keep it looking like new. good luck.

Nothing lasts forever, and at 193,000 miles you've had your moneys worth. I wouldn't put any money into it. Sell it and get another.
