I live in a cul-desac and if you have never lived in one then you don't know what your missing, It's like living in a small village that time forgot, Brigadoon would be best description, Moved in here 25 years ago and the residents were very quick to infer that it was their cul-desac and we were obviously outsiders. We had moved 200 yards from our previous address but it made no difference.

I would start by explaining the history of the area and focus on the town's well known residents and features.
Then I would find some videos and pictures on the web give the audience a better idea.
Finally I would explain the religious / social life of the people and the main occupation also.
Strangely enough I am doing just that on my blog right now!
Do check it out on my profile 360 link.

I don't live on a street, in the strict sense of the word. I live in a valley, about 1/4 mile from the road, so all I can see are hedges, fields, trees and animals

Desolate, yet occasionally is visited by chavs or dog-owners. But that is a rare occasion.
You would be extremely surprised to see an ice-cream van come down here. The last one that did was about... 6 years ago. We nearly jumped out of our skin.

Paved with soft curbs, no painted lines, two way, one lane each way. It has a 90 degree turn half way through it. I have a few lookers close by. All in all a good place to live.

It has a road with cars "where do I park" gardens "I'm embarrased (spelling mabe wrong) my hedge and lawn needs trimming". (What do the neighbours think. B***S***) basically, get on with life and stop thinking or more so worrying, just get on or try, at the end of the day it's YOU that counts, lol.
