No I don't. I talk before and while it is being dried, but not while it is being cut.

I try to avoid all conversation when getting a haircut. I hate talking to random people in person.

Depends on the hair dresser. If she is nice and chatty, then I will. Sometimes they talk about prom and boys or pets, and really make it fun.

Last time I got my hair cut, the lady told me about her allergies acting up because of the shop, then about these brushes she won for most tips or something like that. She proceded to tell me that she didn't know how she managed that one. I just sat worrying about my hair but not wanting to sound rude.

I HATE that! That's why I take a book, a magazine ANYthing to read, I really dislike chatty hairdressers...I'm going to get a haircut & a little pampered all the yak-yak kinda spoils that...unless S/he is giving me hair advice...grrr...

Hiya! You have too most of the time, as the hairstylist normally doesn't stop asking questions! Personally I like to have silence so that I could completely relax!

Take care

I talk a little, and always found it really awkward...

.. Until I got my new hairdresser, who, the first time she cut my hair, revealed that she was bisexual, dating various men, and liked to attend swingers' parties!!

She's the most entertaining hairdresser I've had!
