Is it really that good of an anime? My friend recommended me it and i watched the first 8-9 episodes....and its kinda boring..nothing good is happening...its kinda weird how the main character narrates throughout the episodes....ha ha...should i continue?...will anything good happen?

I liked because it had all this obscure references to other animes or games. Might as well finish the series since is only 14 episodes long.

I don't know I guess it's based on your personal taste.. People either seem to really love it or don't. I didn't really get it but I watched it anyways. You can see summaries of what'll happen in the episodes here:
