My wife has been visiting her parents for the past week and will be coming home a couple of days after The 4th.
What is something I can do that is special/romantic for her return. I just want to show her how much I missed her and let her know how special she is to me.

very simple question, i like it lol.
what you can do is just hold her look her in the eye and tell her you missed her. I garuntee you she will melt. woman dont need objects or dinners or for you to go out of her way to give her a special night as much as they need to HEAR with their own ears how much they mean to you and how special she is to you. You can do alot for her as far as romance but i garuntee you that if you just tell her how you feel thats all she is gonna need.
HOWEVER if you want something to DO for her this is what you can do. the weather is beautiful this time of year so do a little preplanning for outside. find a secluded spot where you and her can both have a picnic. Make it a picnic at night and a few hours before she comes home go to that secluded spot and get everything ready. set tiki tourches around the area. That way you not only have to worry about musquitos but you'll have a bit of candle light. the more candle light the better. order food from her favorite resturant to go. after you guys eat it and are full and happy, ask her to dance. NO MUSIC unless you absolutely need it! women LOVE to just be there with the one they love, no distractions. just dance there with her holding her in the candle light telling her how much you love her and i promise you it will be a night she will never forget. Also a night to tell the grandkids. oh, one more thing, let her do most of the talking, and really listen to her. if there are gaps of empty spaces, go ahead and talk but dont talk about ANYTHING upsetting or annoying that you had to put up with while she was gone. ONLY HAPPY THINGS! for instnace memories of when you too got together like what she was wearing, how you felt. now dont stop her if SHE has anything upsetting or annoying to talk about. just be there for her and make all that go away.
EDIT: one more thing... kind of unique. if you WANT to get her something... get her something that she deffinately doesnt have! http://www.starnamer.net/ not expensive and wow i really wouldnt be able to describe the feeling this will give her. But i can tell you it would be something AMAZING! something so permanent will she her you want your marriage to be permanent.

You can hire someone to clean the house, go to the airport (if she is flying in) and surprise her with a big floral arrangement. Take her home and have her get ready and take her out to a nice romantic dinner. Somewhere quiet and romantic. (If you have children then make babysitting arraignments so you have the entire evening off!

Cook her a nice meal greet her at the door with arms open and a smile on your face, run a bubble bath for her, make her a drink, let her go to bed early because she will be tired. You are a thoughtful person.

Clean the house, get a dozen of roses and a simple " I love you card" from Hallmark. Cook a nice dinner for her or take her out if she's not too tired after the trip.

Have a home cooked romantic dinner waiting for her with a bottle of wine, flowers, the works! Then cuddle up with her favorite movie!

Clean the whole house, do the laundry and cook her a nice meal by candle light. Oh, and a present, maybe a gift certificate to her favorite store. oh and don't be naked in the bed.

Put a welcome home sign on the fridge, cook something nice. Put some nice music on and watch the sunset together, while she tells you about her trip. I think it is wonderful that you would want to do something for her!

**** her all night love, romantic dinner, be naked in the house when she opens the door and greets you. She will be surprised and if you can do this, she will be naked with you in the bed and **** her....

If you don't cook often, cook her dinner and SERVE IT TO HER! I love when my husband does that for me... make it candle lit too! The works!
