How about putting some bricks around the pipe and putting flower pots on the bricks? or if you*re handy make a wooden over over it to set flowers on. Or put an old fashioned wooden bench over it, or even two or three depending on how long the pipe is. Or you could go fantasy wise and paint it like a snake; lizard or dragon..

Build a bench half way down and a flower bed the rest of the way.

Make a little bench/wall about 2 feet high around it. It will be perm. though. The wall could be usefull, better if it is a little wide.

Plant a bush/flowers directly in the ground in front of it or in a pot.

I agree with JJ, that would be awesome. After that, you could put potted plants or other decorations on it... maybe even use it for seating .
