One of my coworkers got a haircut..it looks bad..what should i say when she asks how it looks?

you could say "it always takes me a while to get used to new haircuts when I get one-"

and then follow with some question to get them to talk about it- like: "Who cuts your hair?" and turn it into a discussion of favorite hair salons

or "What kind of styling products do you use?" and turn it into a discussion of what you use vs what they use

or, if it's a new color "Do you know the code for that color?" and it'll seem like you're interested but you actually are just trying to keep yourself from picking that color...

or, if it's short, say "I bet that will be cool for the summer"

just be polite :) Because bad haircuts come and go- and hair always grows back- and feelings can be hurt for much longer- I remember mean things people said to me 15 or 20 years ago....Better to keep your coworker as a friend :)
