he ought to be a hall of famer whenver the oppurtunity arises. he put his body on the line everygame and gave 100%. no other player in his generation played catcher, 2B, and OF, and did it as well as he did, along with his numerous offensive accomplishments.

4 gold gloves,
7 time all star
5 time silver slugger winner
3 times, most games played in a season
active leader in career at bats, and plate appearances
active hits leader
active singles and doubles leader

he oughta be in.

Blue collar, hard nosed player who played the game the right way. In an era tainted by cheaters, appreciation for Biggio should be even more intense- a man who loyally played his rear off at whatever position and in any role his team needed him in.
Look beyond the hits and you'll see a man who played every aspect of the game.
It still blows my mind that in 1997 the man did not hit into a double play- THE ENTIRE SEASON.
HOF first ballot no doubt.
The MLB needs more MEN like Craig Biggio.

Craig Biggio is a credit to Baseball. He's a blue collar guy, works hard, doesn't brag, works for the team. He's done well at whatever position the Astros needed him. He will make the Hall of Fame on the first ballot.

I strongly doubt everyone will answer this question, but it'd be a giggle seeing 6 billion responses.

Great player, but clearly gasping down the home stretch of (what should be) his final season.

(Bidge's retirement year) + 6* == trip to Cooperstown

* Yes, I'm well aware the wait is five. The calendar turns over once more due to the timing of the ballots.

Love the guy. He's a scrappy hard nosed player. Shoe in for the HOF with the 3000 hits. I really hope he wins a ring some day.

He's a shoe in for The Hall Of Fame, first time vote inductee.

For all of you who are NOT REAL baseball fans;

3,000 hits is an automatic first time HOF inductee.
