Although they are supposed to be independent and autonomous, yet the officials are under home ministry. Hence the officials can be influenced in particular by home ministry or by the prime minister covertly by giving nods or orders covertly. The officials are human beings and they can be influenced in many indirect ways.

Yes, of course. All the people in power manipulate the CBI, CID and other organisations. Despite having proof for everything, CBI cant do anythin coz the same gov that we think is doin great to improve our country, uses the power vested in their hands to manipulate the working & outcome of cases of the CBI

These are organizations under the government and officers who man them are bound to carry out the orders of the government. so manipulation in favour of ruling politicians in natural out come.

Any Organization In India can be and are manupulated by GOVT, poltical leaders for their own sake. You read.. so and so Govt. staffs or officers arrested for corruption, but what about poltical leaders.. They do not have much salary, but their asset counts in six figure or more..
