The growing hatred toward Muslims all over the world regardless of the fact that the majority are not participating in bombing campaigns, has made the vocal condemnation of all Muslims socially acceptable in the West.
I'm sick of it; it's absolutely shameful that more is not done to reign in those who incite hatred toward Muslims, especially in the U.S and Britain
Do they/you truly hate or is it simply a case of lazy politics?

Combination of both. And you can always count on some politicians to play on the lowest instincts of humanity to get votes. We must embrace and empower moderate Muslims.
Islam does not allow or sanctify the killing any innocent person regardless of his or her religion. According to the Qur'an and Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad) life is sacrosanct.

We read in the Qur'an: ". . . Do not take life, which Allah has made sacred, except through justice and the law. He orders this so that you may acquire wisdom" (6:151) and, "Do not take life, which Allah has made sacred, except for a just cause. If anyone is killed unjustly, We allow his heir (to seek justice) but do not allow him to exceed bounds when it comes to taking life, for he is helped (by the law)" (17:33). According to the Qur'an, killing a person unjustly is the same as killing all of humanity, and saving a person is the same as saving all humanity. (See 5:32.)

I think these two things kind of work together when people do this. Lazy politics helps to spew out true hatred. Sometimes true hatred can spew out lazy politics. I don't believe all Muslims are terrorists. People are just plain mean to think that way. However, I do think people are scared when they hear there is a muslim around because they cannot tell what that person is thinking or going to do. Instead of taking the time to think it out, they automatically view them as terrorist. This is wrong to do.

Lazy politics of course. Hating another culture is a bi product of people like (M)Ann Coultre, drug addicts like Rush Limbaugh and former liberal Michael Weiner.

Maybe all the flag waving Muslim haters should try turning off the tv for once and read a book.

There is a significant difference between hating Islam, and hating individuals.

I hate Islam, because I believe it is a false doctrine that has manipulated, deceived and indoctrinated those who follow it to believe it is the way, when it provides no guarantee of salvation, nor does it provide a personal relationship with God. I do not believe it is a religion of peace towards non-Muslims, based on the Q'uran itself. It's doctrine is specifically antagonistic and separatist towards infidels-Jews and Christians and all other unbelievers, nor is the martyrdom espoused by it, true to the meaning of a martyr. A martyr holds to their faith even when threatened with death, not as a suicide bomber who brings death to others. As long as those who speak loudest for Muslims and Islam the world over resort to terror - beheading, stoning, general murder and torture, while also rioting in civil instances - vandalizing, threatening, assaulting, imprisoning, and issuing fatwah's upon non-believers and believers alike who freely choose to denounce and renounce and most importantly, insult or criticize Islam, I will hate it.

I do not hate Muslims. I find that Muslim men and women who sincerely devote themselves to the peaceful "portions" of their faith are wholly admirable and to be seen as an example for Christians like myself with regards to piety and discipline. I do not believe the Q'uran is the word of God as they do, but I respect them as individuals and pray that they come to know Christ as I would pray for any people to know Christ.

So, in essence, as long as the voices for Islam are the terrorists, and the actions in every Islamic country reflect a violent ideology, politics must be centered around the threat of such. It is not laziness to accept what is and work accordingly. Politicians don't inspire hatred towards and ideology, the actions by the adherents to that ideology inspire it to the detriment of all who hold to the ideology. I would suggest that if there are any truly moderate believers of Islam, that they take a stand against the one's who are making the loudest and clearest statement of intent for all Muslims....whether they agree or not. Muslims who believe in peace...if you stand, Christians will stand with you, and America will stand with you.

God Bless you all.

Using this quote twice in two days...but it's appropriate here as well....

"During times of war, hatred becomes quite respectable, even though it has to masquerade often under the guise of patriotism."

The majority of Muslims (as you refer to them) have not lifted a finger to stem the violence conducted by their more militant brethren. That makes them either complicit, or cowardly. Is it unreasonable for a nation to hate those who bring such atrocity to their shores. Ofcourse not. What is truly shameful is the sick ideology of denial.

Most people don't truly hate Muslims/Islam because to truly hate something you have to understand it. Media propaganda fuels alot of peoples fear as well as Politicians seem to find it as an easy scape goat, however since September 11 Islam has actually grown more.
