A lot of the life will be determined by how hard it is driven and the maintenance that has been performed.

The larger engine will be under less strain and less wear. On the average, I would say the V6 would last longer. Given equal circumstances.

the two maintained the V6 will out survive the 4 cyl. The 6 has greater power and torque at a decrease R.P.M. interior the top it rather is the whole of R.P.M.'s that determine the wear and tear on bearing surfaces etc.

i wouldn't say one outlasts the other. the v6 is obviously going to give you better performance. but as long as you change the oil in the car, have everything checked out regularly, anything can last you. it all depends on how you take care of the car, how hard you drive it, etc.
