under 12- not ok in my opinion. there are several explicit sexual references and blatant homo erotic love scenes (if that's something you don't want them to see). interveinous drug usage, prostitution etc...
12 and up- depends on the emotional maturity of the child.

Probably not under 12, perhaps not appropriate for some that are over 12. They would have too many questions, the themes and subject matter are a little too complex for them to understand, would go over their head. Great music though, but not for 12 year olds.

i'd say 12 & up its not appropriate for under 12 year olds and it depends on on the maturity level of the child who sees it

it depends on the child and how mature they are some can handle it some can't. they cuss and some of the dances are suggestive. and the main characters have AIDS and are gay and that makes some people uncomfortable
