I have a Elite Stingray 5 Underwater Filter, how come there are no air buubles coming out? How deep is it supposed to be submerged?

have you got the filters in it properly,there is no depth it has to be submerged,if you don't have the filters in properly its not going to work

I doesn't seem like these are made to produce bubbles - if they were, they would have a piece of airline tubing that would sit above the surface.

I wouldn't worry about there not being bubbles - this isn't how the dissolved oxygen gets into your water anyway - it's just a visual effect. More oxygen gets into the water (and CO2 leaves it) by surface agitation. So that's how deep you should put the filter - only as deep as you can see "ripples" across the top of the water. Once you stop seeing the ripple effect, the amount of dissolved oxygen will decrease.

That particular filter have no built in way to pull air from the surface to create bubbles so it's still working fine when not creating bubbles. I would suggest you don't submerse it too deeply so that it will still cause surface motion in the water. Basically as deep as it will go and still cause water motion on the surface is just fine.

Most filters don't create bubbles. You need to buy an air stone
