I have it and it is great. There are a few problems with activation because everyone is trying to activate it at the same time. There are a lot of people with an iPhone at this moment so imagine how slow is the process.

I'm transferring my old number to Cingular so it will take a while. At this moment I can only send everything or make calls from the iphone but I still receive everything on the old phone.

I've found 3 details that any phone has but this one doesn't.
1) can't compose a text message to multiple contacts
2) can't forward or resend the same text message
3) when adding a contact from another country and you want to add the foreing address it doesn't have all countries listed. And you don't have the option to write it yourself.

If you don't care about these details you should get it. I don't regret it. This is the best phone ever... and remember that you can make updates to your phone through itunes so when they come up with a new feature you will just update the iphone and you're good to go. There is no need to buy the phone again with new features.

PS: hurry up because the iphone is already sold out in many stores.

We're happy with ours so far. The biggest issue is how good is AT&T's service in the areas where you spend most of your time: http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/
AT&T has had issues with activating, and many of us who are 'porting' numbers from other carriers have had an excessively long transfer process.

There are many people discussing the iPhone on Apple's Discussion pages:

Nev-AIR.

Wretched Swiss Army Knife approach to design. And you have to pay something like $60 /month just for maintenance. Nobody has had one long enough to know what the battery life is.

OK, maybe it is sour grapes, but I don't like bundled services. One function goes out, and you lose all your access.
