I think he's almost 50 and when the Mets let him play, he doesn't suck. In fact, he still steals bases and sometimes, he'll even hit a home run. What does it all mean?

Franco has publicly stated that he owes his good health and fitness level to a conditioning program, proper diet, and sleep regimen.

Julio Franco is awesome. He puts in so much effort every game, and hes old enough to be most of his teammates dad. If he doesnt get into the Hall of Fame, it will be a huge snub.

You know, he might actually be older than 50 (and probably is) because hes from a foreign country and the birthdate is normally changed, so Im guessing hes in his early 50s.

No, in fact, Julio Franco does suck. Look at his numbers! He's a waste of a roster spot for the Mets.

I got totally bummed out because I'm a teacher and in the middle of a lecture I started waving my pointer around like Franco does before he hits and I was like Who am I?
And everyone thought I was Gary Sheffield, and then no one had ever heard of Julio Franco.

He is a 48 year old man with exceptional ability and who has taken very good care of himself. Every so often a player comes along that seems to be ageless and Franco is one of those players.

Yes. He has one ability very similar to The Shadow's, but much more selective. Franco has the ability to cloud the minds of major league general managers and convince them to sign him to multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts.

It only works on general managers, but it does work.

Yes! He's faster than a speeding walker, quicker than a tour bus line at Old Country Buffet, stronger than Jack La lane! No, seriously, he just has skill!

I think he'll be cut in the near future when the Mets need to bring up another outfielder...
