Good question.
At previous ages in my life, I have been all of the above. The Clown in school, the Magician in my first business, the Acrobat at juggling between business and family, the Lion Tamer as a single parent and the Ring Master at caring for my young children and my aging parents.
Now, after surgery (and facing two more) my kids and proteges are my caretakers. So I guess that puts me back in the retired/baby animal department.
It seems to be a full circle system in a three ring circus.

I am all at different times. There is no way one can always be the same. I am the clown when I am happy, the magician when things I pray for are coming true, the flying trapeze when I work, the lion tamer when I try to navigate if people have a dispute, I am the ring master when I feed the kangaroos. And you know, I enjoy life like that, it never gets boring.

What's a ring master? I guess i'm the ring master, cuz I aint really the clow, the magician, the flying trapeze or the lion tamer.

But anyway I believe you try to steriotype us all! Tell me what you are, because you know from yourself that on a piece of paper, you aren't a point and not even a circle, your 3 dimensional with even conflicting characteristics and much more diverse then one word.

Even your character may change in the presence of other people. In front of my sister I am the clown, for my little brother I am the Magician, other people see myself as the Lion Tamer or maybe the Flying trapeze,

but how do I see myself? I think as non of those all or as all together.

I am the magical clown on the trapeze trying to tame the lion as the ring master points to to the pendulum.

I think I'd rather be the Ring than the Flying Trapeze.

I'm a wife and mother so in my circus of life I am all of the above, well maybe not the flying trapeze, but if the tight rope walker was there than it would be all of the above....

I believe life goes in stages and these stages are our learning experiences. We play all those roles until we earn the right to become the Ring Master. Some sooner than later. Right now I am the Ring Master in my life and love who I am. Am curious Enki, where are you in the circus of life?

I am the *elephant*, once a wonder of the world, in chains.

I can remember things dating back to the day I was born if I try hard enough, and my strength once moved mountains.

But now....I hang my head because everything *hurts*. It hurts to remember once being young, and small and beautiful....

It hurts to remember once being *free*.

It hurts to remember being clean of scars and pain and the bite of whip and shackle....it hurts to remember so much life lost.

And as for these loud, chattering apes? Some days, I could care less, and that shackle is the one thing keeping me from crushing them. Others, I remember the kindness of the ones who yet feed and bathe and groom me....even though I'd rather do these things myself.

.....

.....

(wow, and I thought I could get morbid and depressing....thank goodness I am *not* in a circus, huh?)
