I would be smart enough to take advantage of a bad situation and try to make the best of it, by trying to help the U.S. forces rebuild my country and get rid of the terrorist scum that has destroyed it.

Let see how would I feel if a dicator was taken away.
I saw 3 free election and women have the right to vote.
Iraqi Army help rebuild the infrastructure that was left to decay.
The leader who gas thousands was given to us for a trail.
We were allow to write our own consitution.
Seeing Iraqis take those who needed major medical care transported back to Iraq for treatment then brought back without charge.
Countries that come in and start targeting women and children like those from Iran. The Iraqis stop them and did everything they could do to protect us.

I would be waving the Iraqi flag.

Personally I would be happy because it meant that Saddam was gone. Now if you mean for most Iraqis who didn't mind putting up with Saddam and his saddistic children that is a different matter. Would you be happy with the living conditions an Iraqi citizen lived under then - my answer to you and you already no this to be true - would be a very big no. Would it be better for the US to just pack its bags and leave - well - that is another matter.

Good Luck!!!

Based on reports that I've heard from my friends and family who have been over there, as well as some of the people online who have been, I would say that odds are I would be thankful that the Americans are there.

That wouldn't be the case, of course, if I was a former Ba'ath party leader, or a terrorist, or an Iranian who liked the government of Iran... Very few others really have a problem with our presence, though.

I don't believe the U.S. "took over" your Country? did you fall asleep somewhere and, just wake up. We went over there and stoped a mad man from murdering his people. He was killing the people from certain areas by the thousands, they're still finding mass graves.
His terror squads would go out and drag people off the streets for no reasons other then to put fear into the citizenery, haven't you watched the news? While he lived in palaces, how many, seven, the people lived in squalor and were starving in some areas, while he gave his friends gold, solid gold hand guns.

Thrilled that the Americans saved me from Saddam and his crazy army. Americans are not making Iraq unsafe. It's the terrorists that are. It's the Shia vs. Sunni civial war that is. I would be pissed off at IRAQ'S government for being lazy losers and not stepping up and relying on other countries to protect them.

I would be thankful ... but seems that none of them are, or at least a majority... I wish that they would run their own country so our young men can come home... these people from the beginning of history seem to thrive off violence and extreme, chaotic lifestyle.. no matter what anyone says I thank God every day that I live in the USA and I would never step foot of US soil.... sorry not even for a vacation.

I'd feel disapointed with the failure of political leadership in Iraq and I'd be hoping that US forces wouldn't leave my country until proper leadership was installed.
