See if this will help. It has drawings of the shapes on the front of the heads and descriptions of where they come from.

On a '66, the humps will look more like little pyramids than rounded humps. Most of them were only on Corvettes but would fit any small block Chevy engine (except the '70s Monza 262 V8s) and provide a performance improvement. The 327 was arguably the best engine Chevy ever made, excluding the new Corvettes. The rounded hump heads (about 1957 to 1962 models) didn't have mounting holes for alternators or power steering pumps. They are VERY RARE these days.

Don's right on the money. On the front ( towards the radiator) of both heads there is a raised portion that looks like a filled in B where the head is bolted to the block. If the motor has a wide 2 inch dampener on the end of the crankshaft you have a "golden piece". It may have forged TRW pistons and a healthy camshaft. If the intake in aluminum I love to see it.

I had a 350 horse 327 in a 65 Chevelle that would go 14.0 flat @102 mph with a wide box and 3.73 gears. I loved that car.

In 1966 Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins built a 66 Chevy 2 with one of his motors and suspension that ran in the low 12's on 7 inch M&H Racemaster tires. What a Hemi buster that car was. The only Hemi ever to beat him was fellow York Pennsylvanian Jere Stahl.

Yes, just look @ the front side(like on the front of the engine) of the heads(if, you can see one of 'em) and you can see the double humps(202cc intake valves) right there one the head(s), themself.

These are great heads for any 327-350ci. I had a set of 'em on my 73 350ci/4spd Nova SS(Back in the Days) and it performed very well w/ 'em;)

The ones that, are not the double hump heads(192cc, I think) will have like a tri-angle shape, instead.

Good luck!

don,s got it right.........except they're not 202cc.......they're 2.02 inch intake valve,s.....the famous double hump or [camel hump] head,s [also known as fuelie head,s].....have intake valve,s at 2.02 inch.....exhaust at 1.50 inch....chamber size of 160 to176 cc,s [depending on the head,s]...and large port,s on both intake&exhaust......original iron head,s are increasingly rare....but replacement aluminum head,s are available at any performance part,s distributer,s.
