Even if it is just a fleeting memory, do you remember anything from when you were a baby.

I can remember crying in my crib and having mom come in at night to change my diaper. What about you?

Sure,I remember watering my very first bonsai tree in my crib at 6 months old. LOL

Seriously,I do seem to have a re-occurring flashback as an infant, wanting desperately to be removed from the crib. One technique for jogging memories from infant or childhood, is to write with the opposite hand that you are normally accustomed to writing with.

I remember many details about the house I lived in until I was 3, and have amazed my parents with that. I remember where every room was, the basketball hoop on the roof of the neighbor's garage, the backyard gate that got stuck, the back door that came into the kitchen, and other things. I remember my crib, and getting my head stuck in the slats, and the firemen who came to get me out of it. I was about a year and a half old then.

When I was almost four I looked out the window and saw three tracks in the fresh snow coming down the street and into the driveway. I was baffled---Dad worked for Harley Davidson in Milwaukee and had motorcycles and cars, but nothing with THREE wheels, so I asked him what it was. He smiled at me ruefully and told me that he'd answer that question when I was "old enough."

at age 18, on leave from the Navy I asked him what had happened, and he was startled. He'd never expected me to remember that, I was just shy of four years old. He smiled and said that he'd been at an office Christmas party, had a few too many drinks, and had driven his motorcycle home with both feet on the ground.

Thanks for the memories---have a star

I have a couple memories from when I was a baby. One of them was my mom holding me with a blanket on her, and me spitting up on her. I couldn't have been older than a few months.

My EARLIEST memory, though, which my mom says is impossible for me to remember, was of my dad holding me, and all the colors looking really...intense. It was scary, but at the same time, I felt secure in my dad's arms. We were walking, and I remember that it felt cold.
That memory is actually when my parents brought me home from the hospital...about four days after I was born.

I also have memories of playing in my playpen (which my parents stopped using when I was about two or three), and I have several clear memories of both my grandpa (whom I last saw when I was a year and a half old; he died when I was two) and my grandma (who died when I was three.).

I also remember crying in my crib after having a nightmare, and it was my grandma who came in to comfort me.

There are more, but those are the clearest. Most of my memories from before I was two are of feelings, rather than clear events.

Edit: That's really interesting, what another answerer shared about left-handed people being able to remember further back than right-handed people. I'm left-handed.

Are you left-handed? I read somewhere that left-handed people have earlier memories than right-handed people. For example, my earliest memory was from when I was three years old. However, my brother (who is 11 years younger than me) remembers the wallpaper that was in his room when he was under two years old. We moved from that house before he turned two and we don't have photos of it. I thought that was crazy until I read that about lefties, and of course he is one.
