At first I just thought I had a lazy fish, but he has followers. They all get very active whenever I put food in the tank and they all still eat a regular amount. I do not see any odd colors on any of them. Do they make medicine for fish? I am new at this.

It's natural for them to chill out during the day and act lazy and droopy!!

If you are worried you can get a revitaliser Tonic that can go in the water which you can get at all good pet shops which you add depending on your type of tank and it just gives the fish abit of a boost

Also make sure they have enough oxygen in their tank like a live plant or a air stone/bubble as sometimes oxygen shortages can make them slow.

There are quite a few medicines for them, but just like for people, medicines shouldn't be used unless you know what's wrong so you can give the proper kind.

If you fish aren't that active, the problem may not be that they're sick, but that somethings wrong with their water. You don;t say how long you've had the fish or how large they are, the size tank they're in, if they have a filter, or how long it's been since you've done a water change. All of these could be what's causing the fish to be "lazy".

It sounds in your question as though you have three or more fish. If they're all common (single tail types) they can grow to be about 10-18" each. As adults, you should have a tank for them that's at least 30 gallons. The produce a lot of waste and ammonia as well, so the larger water volume will help dilute the wastes.

If the goldfish are fancy types (double tail, usually veery rounded body) they'll stay a little smaller - 8-10" in most cases, but would still be happier as adults in a tank that's at least a 20 gallon long. Because of their body shape, they aren't very good swimmers, so the filter (and you should have one of these if you don't) may be producing too much current for them to swin properly, so they find a place where the current isn't as strong and sit there.

Before you try medicine, try a 25% water change (replace the water you remove with new that's about the same temperature and add dechlorinator) and turn the flow of the filter down and see if this makes a difference in their behavior.

All our fish chill out during the day, they rarely swim around, tending to just stay in one place sleeping. in the afternoon and at night they swim like total loonies tho! my mum's fish do the same.

You could have problems with the water!
Try doing a 20% water change and see if they perk up a bit!
