I don't thnink they can get much for Milledge, his stock has gone down, and I hope they don't even consider trading Carlos Gomez, I think he's going to be a great ballplayer.
Their outfield next year could be Beltran, Gomez, and Francisco Martinez who is is AA ball. Could be the fastest and best defensive outfield in the NL.

I believe the Mets will trade either Milledge or Gomez to get a starting pitcher such as Carlos Zambrano or Mark Burhle. I've heard rumors of the Mets wanting to get Sammy Sosa or another right handed bat in the outfield. In my opinion, Sammy's too old. I know Ken Griffey Jr is not a righty, but I would like to see him in relief. Other than that, the Mets need some bullpen help

There was a rumor that the Mets are interested in Mark Buehrle and Carlos Zambrano said that if he played in New York, he wanted it to be with the Mets. However, it's not likely that they'll trade Carlos Gomez. They like him there and think that he could be a great five tool player like Carlos Beltran. I'm not sure about Milledge, though. His name has come up a couple of times in the Mets trade rumors. He's more likely to be traded than Carlos Gomez.

The Mets would love to move Milledge who his proving to be a "hot dog" with a big mouth and no ability to back it up. I would imagine there won't be too many takers with interest in him. Gomez is another story. He is bigger, stronger and has more speed than Reyes with huge upside possibilities. I believe the Mets want to hold on to him and he could be a fixture in left field for them for years to come.
