Ebay is a option but a risk if you get a stolen phone. You may be eligble for an early upgrade but you must be on a certain calling plan and have completed 1 yr of a 2 yr contract; otherwise you are eligible for an upgrade 10 months into a 1yr contract or 20months into a 2 yr contract.

Sorry but if you upgrade your phone before your contract is up then you would have to purchase the phone at retail cost which is about $200 to $300 depending on the model. There are no discounts if you are currently a subscriber until you renew a 2 year contract when your contract ends.

Listen do what I did. Buy you a Verizon phone off EBay or Craig-list. then take it to a Verizon store and have you info changed over to that phone. Make sure it's a phone you want.
