i like to sit in my back yard under an apple tree. for a few days now, there has been a squirrel that sits in the tree above me and stares me down. he eats apples and throws them at me. when he just stares at me, it freaks me out! squirrels have been known to randomly attack people. he also makes that noise squirrels make. it's pretty funny, but, seriously, i don't even like to sit out there anymore, and it sucks.

a) i'm not going to kill it.
b) if i throw stuff at him, won't that make him mad? he'll jump on me, bite me, and give me rabies.
c) Ok, this is pretty funny, but stop making fun of me! ;)

Squirt him with a squirt bottle. They are really smart! Hopefully a couple of squirts will convince him that bugging you = a squirt. And he will move on. Unfortunately, I think that he thinks you are on his turf.

Sounds like he's territorial and just doesn't like you sitting under HIS apple tree! Suggest you pick the apple up that he throws at you and throw it back at him!
Squirrels can be pesky, maybe it's a mother squirrel and she has babies nearby.
If you truly feel threatened and there's any possibility it could attack you call animal control-though, honestly, I've never heard of a squirrel attacking anyone. Maybe it's nuts??!!?

Well there's only 2 things you can do. Try number 1...Staring back at him. You need a stare down or in your case stare up.. And number 2 if number 1 doesn't work.....eat some apples, And throw the left overs at the squirrel.( NOOOO DON'T THROW THEM HARD).......LOL...GESSSSSSS I'M NOT THAT MEAN.

How do you know if he stares at you unless you stare at him. Maybe he thinks you are a perv or something. Just ignore him maybe if you eat an apple and throw it at him he will leave you alone.. really he is just a squirrel trying to eat a apple in peace and every time there you are. Think about his point of view....:)

I have same situation with squirrels & black walnut tree. Sit on step and walnut shells dropped on me. I move to different spot, now the walnut shells dropping on me again. Solutions: 1) don't sit on that side of house or 2) eliminated squirrel. However, you probably have at least two squirrels. 3) sit under a patio umbrella.
The squirrel is a little squirt but will NOT attack you, etc... He/she is trying to discourage you from being under his domain. Staring = no. He is watching because he is afraid of you & wants to know where you are at all times for his own self preservation.
Check with local city hall and/or local animal control. At city hall in my area, I put deposit on live animal trap and set trap on a week day in the beginning of a week. Bait with nuts, corn, etc... After caught, call animal control (they have typical business hours & now have a week day to call them) to pick up (tell they who the trap belongs and your name) & they will usually return trap. After trap returned, the city will return your deposit to you by mail.

Get yourself a slingshot and some gravel....no Im not telling you to kill it. Shoot it off to the side and let a few bits of gravel hit him (just don't shoot it off too hard). Squirrels are smart, after a few days of this he will learn to leave when you go out there. Oh yeah make sure you dont break any windows.

i had a squrirrel problem with my porch garden , i keep them off by dousing my plants in liberal amounts of cayanne and sit uot a huge plate of birdseed every few days , attracts doves and other bird that scare them off , or they just eat out of the plate , they do seem scarry , but in time i got to likeing them , I although learned to keep my 6 dollar 20lb bag of birdseed securely away from them , in a "loacked" cupboard.
i would just think of it as he wants to shre his apple , when i was a kid there was an apple tree outside and one year it only had one apple , way out of reach , so us kids were standing around trying to throw sticks at it and get it down , a squirrel promptly came over wrenched the apple off the limb tootk a bite and threw it at us , besides the bite , we cut it up and ate it.
their not as evil if you never hand feed them or let them think YOU will be a source of food.

Shoot it. Squirrels make great stew!
UPDATE: City slickers make me laugh! A big squirrel is maybe a 10th your height if it's all stretched out and you're SCARED of it! If you don't want to kill it, turn the hose on it! As for rabies, it's not as commonplace as you'd think from the stories and the last thing that little squirrel wants to do is get close enough to bite you. From it's perspective, you're ENORMOUS!

He's part of the squirrel mafia. You need to wire $1,000 a month into an account to be provided and give him high quality nuts on a daily basis.
