It's easy to tell it was someone hired by Vince McMahon. In fact, the secondary fact that the apologies came out of a reroute through Sydney, Austrailia only implicates himself or another from his organization, as WWE also has offices in Sydney. The idiot probably thought that rerouting through Sydney would obfuscate his IP address, but it doesn't work that way. I find it hard to believe that someone who'd know enough to set an auto-update of wikipedia (12:01 AM is when autosettings for computers take place when "next day" is selected) couldn't figure this out. Except in the case where they see their actions have caused so much damage that being caught is better than being "at large"

But, to truthfully answer your question, probably not. Mainly since the media is easily manipulated by money, which Vince has plenty of. I'm sure he DOESN'T want us to know the truth, and that truth more than likely is he hired some goons to do the job of killing Benoit and his family, and they messed up and left a trail. Look at the details of the killings, they all play out like a bad WWE storyline (remember the necrophilia incident?)

His name has not been released due to him wanting to keep things quiet for him and his family. His computer has been confiscated. He had heard rumors about the reason Benoit no showed Vengeance and heard that the reason was that his wife had died, so he posted it on Wikipedia. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe not
