No legal ways anyways! not even for cubans to buy a property. I have some friends in european countries that built houses in cuba as a second floor on a friend's house, but you really have to trust the person cause the property will never be on your name. A few years ago only in Havana they were allowing people to buy , but then again only condominions, I am not sure if that is still possible .

No. All of the property is owned by the government. No one, except the Cuban Government can own property in Cuba.

Danny, you'd probably have to come and purchase this property and fly via Canada. As I believe that travel to Cuba from USA is still illegal. Canada has a good relationship with Cuba and it should not be problem finding someone to help you find a place there.

Danny the world is big why Cuba . the only owner of every thing is the government. Not even Cubans can buy a house and cars . Is true about 5 years ago they sell condominium, and then they told the owners that they need the property and you are out and broke. and no money back and never is your!!!! And if you stay living in Cuba you always have to paid extension (visa) and at the end nothing is your , you are broke and poor like every Cubans. Go to the library look for history book .And look the meaning of communist( every body is equal) POOR.

Since everything is owned by the State, as in communist countries, I don't think anyone can "own" anything outright. There are leases through foreign concerns but run by the government, and these are found in hotel and resort properties. For an individual to buy and own, I don't think anyone can do so.
